We're just a short stroll from the heart of Healesville, with some of the region's wonderful wineries, cellar doors, restaurants, wildlife experiences and beautiful countryside all within easy reach.
Whether you're here for a romantic weekend, a relaxing escape with friends, or a getaway with your four-legged companion, there's plenty to discover.
And, of course, you don't have to fill every day with plans. Sometimes the best Yarra Valley experience is simply a slow morning at the cottage, a coffee on the verandah and nowhere you need to be.

Beechworth Bakery

Right in the heart of Healesville, Beechworth Bakery is an easy stop from One Wee Cottage and a handy place to pick up something delicious for your day.
Choose from freshly baked pies, pastries, cakes, bread and plenty of sweet treats, with something to suit every appetite.
Grab breakfast before heading out to explore the Valley, pick up a picnic treat for the day, or bring something home to enjoy back at the cottage.
It’s a simple, welcoming stop for fresh baking and a little taste of Healesville.

Four Pillars Gin Distillery
Approximately 15 minutes' walk from One Wee Cottage
Just a few minutes from One Wee Cottage, Four Pillars is a must-visit for gin lovers. Explore the Healesville distillery, enjoy a tasting or settle in with a G&T and something delicious to eat. With its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting, it’s an easy addition to a day exploring Healesville. Take your time, discover the craft behind the gin and enjoy a memorable afternoon in the Yarra Valley. The distillery is a wonderful place to unwind, taste something new and enjoy the local atmosphere. Four Pillars also offers distillery tours, experiences and masterclasses.

Healesville Main Street
Approximately 15 minutes' walk from One Wee Cottage
You don't need to get in the car to enjoy Healesville.
The main street is just a leisurely walk from the cottage and is full of character, with cafés, wine tasting rooms, pubs, a beer garden, boutique shops, artisan products, a European deli, a bookshop and plenty more to discover.
It's the perfect place to spend a lazy morning with a good coffee, browse the local shops, pick up some treats for the cottage and settle into the relaxed rhythm of Healesville.

TarraWarra Estate
TarraWarra · Approx. 8–10 minutes by car
Surrounded by rolling vineyards and beautiful countryside, TarraWarra Estate is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely afternoon. Enjoy the cellar door, sample the estate’s wines and take in the sweeping views across the vineyards. If you’re in the mood for a little culture, visit the TarraWarra Museum of Art, set within the stunning landscape.
With wine, food, art and beautiful surroundings all in one place, it’s an experience worth slowing down for and enjoying at your own pace.

Fergusson Winery

Set amongst the vineyards of Yarra Glen, Fergusson Winery is a lovely destination for a relaxed day in the Valley.

Yarra Valley Dairy is also featured by Visit Victoria as a local cheesemaker specialising in soft Italian and French-style cheeses. A lovely stop for a relaxed afternoon, with plenty of opportunities to sample the region’s fresh flavours.

A beautiful family-owned winery offering a relaxed Yarra Valley wine experience, with a welcoming cellar door overlooking the vineyards and winery. Take your time exploring the estate, taste a selection of wines and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding hills.
With native bush, natural beauty and warm hospitality, Medhurst is a peaceful place to relax and unwind.
Whether you’re visiting for a wine tasting, a glass and a bite to eat, or simply to take in the scenery, it’s a place where time seems to stand still for a while.

De Bortoli Wines

Set amongst the vineyards and orchards of Coldstream, Punt Road Wines is a wonderful place to discover the character of the Yarra Valley.

Take in the peaceful rural setting and enjoy a slower pace as you explore the estate. It’s an easy place to settle in, taste something new and appreciate the beauty of the Valley.
